G08S05: I am thankful for poker...
š¦ I'm having a vegan thanksgiving with friends, but a turkey will always be my Thanksgiving icon
Happy Thanksgiving Week!
What are you making? I love to make THE DEVILāS EGGS, but Iām going to a vegan thanksgiving with friends in the mountains above Los Angeles so Iām not making those this year. I also love pumpkin pie, which Iām sure can be vegan. I am not opposed to vegan Thanksgiving at all, some of my best meals of my life with the people Iām hanging out with (the Hot Knives and their families) have been vegan.
Anyway, enough food talkā¦ letās talk turkey, i mean POKER.
Last week Josh took the season lead with the biggest win of the season so far (170 points). That bumps Chris to second with Drew in third (see standings below). There are six more games this season, which ends with our high stakes tournament on Dec 28th, so itās still anyoneās season.
š Season 5 Prize: Prize is still in development. I had a coffee idea in mindā¦ does everyone drink coffee?
How The Season Works: Every season is 3 months of games which ends with a "high stakes" game of $50. Last season the champion was Beau so he currently holds the all powerfulĀ Shareholder Hope Coin, but unless he takes the top spot he will have to pass it on.
šŖ Reminder: Grab your "Free Chips" every time you log into PokerStars. While worthless these chips allow you to rebuy and you can ask Nick what happens when you run out. :(
š„ Bonus Rules In Effect
The 2-7 Bonus: If you make it to a showdown with 2-7 you get a free share!Ā ButĀ it only counts when there are five or more people at the table. (so if we are split up at the beginning, you might be out of luck until the tables merge). Be sure to announce this as it can happen quick and someone else needs to witness it. If you win in a show down with 2-7 you get five shares.
The Hope Coin Slayer: Whoever takes out the holder of the Hope Coin (Beau) gets 2 shares.
The Final Countdown: If seven deuce is played as the final hand of the tournament the player will be given two shares, and if a player wins the tournament with seven deuce they will receive seven shares.
Marcus Junius Brutus: Whoever takes out the season leader gets a share (currently this is Josh).
Cain + Abel: If my brother Gene is playing (username: webvee) there is a bonus of one share to whoever knocks him out.

Grand Marshal of Shareholder Poker,
-K. Mike Merrill
i donāt have a prescription, this is essentially drug abuse but itās not a problem. i mean, itās just a little amphetamine and dextroamphetamine and they prescribe it to kids, so itās like flintstoneās vitaminsā¦ but more fun. iām not condoning drug abuse but i think recreational use of drugs is fine for me. side effects can include: cold toes, increased heart rate, decreased appetite, high blood pressure, dry mouth, changes relating to sex drive or sexual performance. serious side effects include uncontrollable shaking, hallucinations, and depression. abusing adderall and then suddenly stopping can cause withdrawal symptoms such as feeling uneasy, panic attacks, phobias, and suicidal thoughts.
